Saving, printing and sharing a route

Saving, printing and sharing a route – How to save a route, print turn by turn instructions and share the route link with others

What this guide does

This guide explains how to save a route in the National Network Map (NNM) Route Planner. This guide shows how to share a route link with others and how to print a PDF of the turn-by-turn instructions. This guide also explains how saving a route generates a Route ID that can be reused later.

Tips and common issues

Routes must be saved to obtain a Route ID and to allow sharing and printing; unsaved routes cannot be reliably reused.

The shared link allows others to see the route and instructions but does not grant them edit access to your account.

Check printed PDFs for completeness and legibility before issuing them to drivers.

Where to get help

Consult your organisation’s logistics or operations team for how printed routes should be filed or issued.

Contact the NHVR Route Planner support team if Route IDs do not appear or if PDFs fail to generate.
