You can very quickly locate individual features, changeset, or user, via the url
Tools attached to OSM iD Editor
Great filter tool to view changes between specified dates, comments, locations, and users
scenarios:
Changeset IDs (including multiple IDs)
can filter by user/users or tags (e.g., #NHVR)
locate OSM feature tags (e.g., only primary and secondary roads, AND name=Smith Road)
Very convenient tool to visualise new, modified, and deleted feature in a changeset
A deep dive into a tagging history of a feature in OSM. Great to understand why tags such as highway, speed (or features such as nodes and lines) has been added, modified or deleted)
Also has quick button links to other OSM tools such as Achavi, OSMCha, and others
Displays changeset from the last 24 hrs, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days within a map extent
Useful for any recent changes that may have impacted OSM road segments
Limited map extent, you have to zoom into #10. Can’t display/download changes past #11
Very powerful with lots of customisation, but it’s own query language which a tough learning curve
scenario:
generate and export specific changesets within a date range. Select only road segments and defining a mappcss to color code what roads were changed in each changeset. Display the result in browser mapview, save the query, export the results as GeoJSON
