Downloading and set up PBS Excel Submission tool
This article describes steps to download and set up PBS submission tool. Which is a sample tool provided to use of APIs
Step-by-step guide
1. Url - https://api-portal.nhvr.gov.au/
2. Click on Login/ Sign up from the top right corner
3. If you are not logged into the Portal, The Portal login screen will appear, use your portal credentials to log in. Once logged in the screen at step 5 will appear.
4. If you are already signed into the NHVR portal, the login screen will not appear and you will see the screen at step 5.
5. Screen to download, different API packages, I have highlighted the PBS submission tool. Click on the download button. This will download the sample excel submission tool. Create a new parent folder and download the excel tool into that folder
6. Click on the profile link on the right side of the navigation bar on the top. Click on the show button next to the primary or secondary key to see your API keys. You can use either of the primary or secondary keys. Copy one of the keys
7. Open the excel sheet you have downloaded, On the first tab, "Setup" Enter the API key you copied in the previous step and click Save API key. This will create a txt file in the same folder as the excel sheet. Keep your API key safe, As this is your login to the portal and needs the same security as your login and password.

9. This completes the setup of the tool. You can use different tabs to select and fill data. There is troubleshooting information related to Excel behaviour e.g. enable contents, and enable macros which are required for excel to work properly, you can find steps to check on the Template Info tab.
10. The Report tab will show any errors which API is returning, e.g. missing required data fields or invalid data.
